I have seen some fashion shows and then I have SEEN some fashion shows. But this one takes the cake! This particular "art-infused" fashion show was new to me as I had no prior knowledge of the featured designers. Or should I say artists.
After a quick peak in the dressing room, I realized this was where a stunning piece of art work + a hair and makeup team replicate that impressive piece of artwork on a model. Yikes! I was geeked!
So on this very wet and rainy night at The Watershed in Tempe, AZ, the mastermind-behind-the-event Kristine Nichole had a vision of transforming a model into a fashionable piece of art and hitting the runway. I knew the crowd was in for a real treat. The entire event was sure to create a little buzz around town with it's elaborateness. The Art Fashion Show was sure to be a phenomenal success!
Sadly, mother nature had other plans for the evening, as several people had to make a mad dash to grab the artwork from outside where the flood gates had opened up and poured.
After taking a moment to figure out Plan B, this artistic runway show was ready to go and was determined to be a good showing. I really enjoyed the uniqueness behind the concept of the show. The use of different mediums constructed by the design teams really brought the art to life. I really couldn't believe my eyes. The artistic likeness to the painting for some of the pieces were simply incredible.

There was so much detail to look at with each art, model art piece, work of art. I don't know what the correct words were but beautiful was one of them.
You could stare for hours at the detail work on some of the models. Fabulous!
