Life of Consequences Feature Film Screening Scheduled

 

When you have to face the consequences of your actions the outcome can affect so many others is the premise of the latest feature film by Chronic Behavior LLC Film Productions. CBLLC is excited to announce the upcoming screening as part of the Worldwide Women's Film Festival held in February 2022 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Harkins Shea 14 Theatres.

Originally published SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jan. 16, 2022 - PRLog -- Chronic Behavior LLC Film Productions will be screening their latest feature film, "Life of Consequences", a drama film included as part of the Worldwide Women's Film Festival.

The story is focused on relationships and when tragedy happens who is really in your corner. Film Synopsis: When a man has to face the consequences of having caused a fatal accident, where does he turn? Seeking hope and support from those closest to him causes him to ponder his own mortality. He must make a choice to ease his own suffering and the suffering of others.

The film includes an all Arizona based film crew (predominantly female) and actors from the local community. This is the first feature film directed by Eva Louis and written by Daniel Blunck, who is also starring in the film.  Angie Gomez, from Superior, AZ, is starring in her first feature film and is a local celebrity singer and performer with Powerdrive Band. Fern Hoover, from Case Grande, AZ is known for her role in the TV Series, "Adam Ruins Everything" as well as a model for several designers in the fashion community.

Other notable featured actors are Hermann Plank (board advisor to Phoenix Fashion Week), Loren Aragon (designer for ACONAV), Marshall Shore (Hip Historian), Darnell Autry (actor and former NFL player with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears), Tammy Hamati, Sam Hamati, Nick Koester, Jocelyn Botero, Gail Friend, Jared Keesling, Val Navarro, Ella Scofield, Sylvie Cohen, and Valentina Aragon.

When Magnolias Keep On Shining

**************************************** My team lives in the world of film, fashion, arts, music, and entertainment.  Our schedule is full but when we have a few moments to stop, take a break, and take in a show, we always look for opportunities to support our community artists.  

Last night I had the chance to see a performance that was an all woman cast of six distinct characters full of personality, quirks, talents, and presence that literally oozed all over the stage and formed a reality all based on a single location.  What was brought to life, was an inner reality of the relationships between a group of women from a small town dealing with the everyday life between family and friends including circumstances that are uncomfortable and difficult.  Interlaced strategically however is the humor that makes the most difficult a little easier to handle and that which also reflects the wit and inteligence of their generational age differences.

If you've seen the film, "Steel Magnolias", then you will be familar with some of the storyline.  This stage performance was adapted to revolve around the single location, the beauty salon of Truvy Jones, character played by Angela Kabasan.  The stage was turned into a semi-working salon which helped to bring the salon to life which even included a working sink with running water and old fashioned hair dryer.  Truvy's character was strong and definitely an anchor to the show.  The part required her to be able to really do hairstyles while speaking her lines and interacting according to the circumstances presented by the other actors which included even dealing with a diabetic seizure like event which Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie, played by Avery Volk, experienced as part of one scene where orange juice went strategically flying out of a plastic glass.  I was so into the scenes where Truvy was doing hair, I was crossing my fingers to make sure she got the hairstyles right since of course she was doing the bride's hair for her wedding in one scene.  It was enjoyable to watch it all happen and everyone stay in character no matter what was going on.

Annelle Dupuy-Desoto, character played by Sarah Brisco, was the outsider that was welcomed into the group by the women without being judged.  It was just expected and Sarah was able to pull off the part by adding in just enough reaction and insertion of lines timed perfectly to help with the comic relief which was definitely needed for the serious exchanges that occured throughout the scenes.

Clairee Belcher, character played by Hilary Hirsch, definitely owned her part of the story and it was great to see how she bantered back and forth with her partner on stage, Ouiser Boudreaux, character played by Noel Irick, to give it that "Golden Girls" feel with all the inuendo and quick witted responses that kept you on your toes and engaged just waiting to hear what they would say next.

Avery Volk, developed the Shelby character, with a depth and sassiness that carried all the way to the end.  She was able to portray the daugther - mother relationship with a realness that made you understand the challenges and obstacles she had to deal with based on her life choices.  The audience clearly connected with the seriousness that was dictated as you could hear a pin drop at several moments when critical information was revealed that propelled the story into sadness when the enevitable was shared.

One of the strongest scenes for me was when M'Lynn Eatenton, character played by Mary Pat Wallace, had the outburst where she described her feelings about the death of her daughter.  It was a poignant display that had been built up throughout the entire performance and this became a huge tipping point in the honest disclosure about the relationships M'Lynn had and if she could have changed things. It felt very viseral and large which evoked emotions in those watching.  The combination of the set-up between Shelby and M'Lynn was played well and really left the audience experiencing a variation of the same feelings.

It was a pleasure to watch all the characters interact and develop a cohesive presence and environment on stage.  As an audience member, it felt like we were eavsdropping on personal conversations that you might be walking by daily.  All I can say is what an awesome experience.

Thank you to the actors, stage production team, and the director for bringing this to life.  Definitely this deserves a two thumbs up.  And I'd go to watch it again, just sayin'.

by Toy Taylor - [RECAP] Thursday night boasted a huge success for the 2nd Annual IndieAZ Film Festival once again held at the Pollack Tempe Cinemas in the ever eclectic Tempe Arizona. 

This was a crazy cool event! Many of the night's short films left you shaking your head and pondering the what ifs. I mean really? Who would ever think of seeing the world through the perspective of a mattress? Things that make you say 'hmmm'.   

The event raised awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and bullying within our communities.

The charity of choice is  Agnes Centers for Domestic Solutions which strive to educate others by providing solutions in breaking the chains of physical and mental abuse amongst those wounded by such atrocities.

Her story is REAL and one you should check out. She is ah-ma-zing!

Gita Farid

There were other local celebrities in the house. A few on deck were the ever pleasant writer/director Gita Farid of Gita Farid Films. I had the pleasure of working with this phenomenal woman and let me tell you, her visions on old world history are strong, passionate and at times intense. Ms. Gita is an amazing story-teller. 

The wildly unprecedented producer Rob Rutledge himself was also in attendance.

Byron Cherry best known for playing Coy Duke on the Dukes of Hazzard in the early 80's joined the party and even brought the famous General Lee with
 


him. I was all giddy especially when he let me get inside...yikes!

Robin Cote

Author and radio personality Robin Cote earned the Rose Award for her journey of survivalship, strength and being an inspiration to us all. 

Her story 'My Life, Victim No More! The Ugly Truth Exposed' is an experience that is of great magnitude. Congratulations Robin!




Star Worldwide Network Owner Dave Pratt was in the house. You know him best as big time radio personality for 3 decades now.

Passions burning through your pants!!!

What????!!! Did someone just hijack this blog...nooooooo waaaaaay!!! But that is the feeling of being high-strung on 2015 and everything that is going on.  It's hard to believe that May is just around the corner.  

What have you done so far this year?  

Starting the year off with the 'Big Game' in town, was just one of the highlights.  Five fashion shows before the end of January and supporting VIP parties that were in town could not start the year better for many businesses locally and in the surrounding areas.  While we don't focus on just local anything, that is how the year started here.  We talk with businesses and artists on a regular basis and one thing we have noticed this year is that it is nose to the grind stone and rock climbling of the steepest mountains.  More focus and dedication to the craft and the businesses processes is evident in what many individuals and projects are doing.  

We like to highlight some projects and individuals going next level...and it seems like there is not a better time than the present to take that moment to reflect on the good things happening.

Natasha Duran-Lynch, the founder/designer of the Hues of Ego clothing line has had a phenomenal 2015 so far.  This is after finishing up an incredible year in 2014 being one of the emerging designers for Phoenix Fashion Week.  Her schedule and her line has been in demand for runways across the US and her new collections are well underway.  To check out her fabulous line and learn what's happening next, be sure to stop by her website, Hues of Ego and stay connected to her on Facebook.

Kevin Phipps, the founder of The Artist's Box, along with instructors, Daniel Blunck and Jane Fendleman, who are also actors in the community, are all dominating their craft and sharing their knowledge with others through their unique and engaging approach with Meisner classes.  The Artist's Box offers a full year and half program for actors to get their foundation and techniques in line for acting at all levels.  If you wonder how successful they are, just look up their past graduating classes and find out all they have accomplished and you'll see why, if you have even the remotest desire to act, you must check out their programs.  They just started their latest class, on April 28th.  Don't miss out on a life changing opportunity if you ever needed one. 

The Woman of the Mountain

Another exciting film that will be coming out this May 20th is "The Woman of the Mountain", written by Will Hirsch and Ryan Henry Johnston of Art of War Pictures.  The brief synopsis of the film is as follows:  When mysterious gold shows up in the town, chaos quickly ensues, leaving it up to a sheriff to find the truth behind the Woman of the Mountain.  We've heard nothing but rave reviews about how the filming and production quality are anticipated to be.  It was filmed in Arizona with some amazing talent that will hopefully provide some strong performances to represent the industry well.  Looking forward to a spectacular premiere when it releases at the Scottsdale Community Film Festival.
