The Nail Tech Chronicle, A New Comedy Short Film

If you ever wondered what a day in the life of a nail tech was like, wonder no more. From morning to night, you never know what type of customer will walk through your doors. Get ready to watch, learn, and laugh.

 By:

PHOENIX
 - Sept. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Chronic Behavior LLC announces their latest film production, "The Nail Tech Chronicle."  The film is scheduled to be released as a YouTube Premiere on the Chronic Behavior Productions Channel.

The comedy is based on a day in the life of a nail tech salon owner who has just opened his shop and is still in the process of settling in. With each customer that walks in the door, the stories just keep getting more and more interesting.  But that's all in a day's work for the nail tech, to listen and serve the customer, right?

The premiere will be available for viewing on Chronic Behavior Productions YouTube Channel on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. and full film details are available on www.chronicbehavior.com and IMDB. Watch parties are encouraged for this night of laughs.

"We couldn't have imagined how perfect the story would turn out, but as we filmed we knew we had something special," says Eva Louis, Director for the film. "We wanted to approach the film differently and we're excited to share the results with the world. Each of the actors brought something unique and entertaining to the film."

The cast of characters includes Angie Gomez as the Mafia Boss, Deana Moody as the Extreme One, Melissa Vo as the Twin Sisters, Dawn Nixon as the Indecisive One, Roxanne Ruane as the Spiritual One, Dantès Louis as the Nail Tech, and Toy Taylor as "Simona".  The Chronic Behavior LLC production team thanks and credits "The Creative Toy Box", a beauty salon owned and operated by Toy Taylor, for their collaboration and a great location where the filming took place back at the beginning of March 2020 before the stay-at-home executive order in Arizona.

The Pensacola Graffiti Bridge Project

Rachael Pongetti
It is amazing to across an artistic project that moves you and stirs unknown feelings deep within. That's what happened to Pensacola photographer Rachael Pongetti when she took an interest in the local iconic spot The Graffiti Bridge. Seeing the heart and soul poured into the daily painstaking rituals of graffiti bridge lead Pongetti to create The Pensacola Graffiti Bridge Project. Every day for one year, this local photographer captured the very essence of what the bridge stands for. Local artists come from all over to place their feelings within the bridge. For decades, the community has shown love for lost souls and lost loved ones by expressing their pain and suffering with a paintbrush. Pongetti's dream is to take the images she has collected for one year and create a high quality art book featuring the community of graffiti artists continuously changing the moniker of the Graffiti Bridge one brush stroke at a time.

With that said The Pensacola Graffiti Bridge Project needs YOUR  help. A Kickstarter campaign has been launched and will end in 24 HOURS. At this moment, Rachael is less than $4000 away from her goal of $25,000. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! From $1 to whatever will help Rachael reach her goal and complete her project Layers of Paint art book.

Please take a moment to watch the time-lapsed video showing how this Pensacola community comes together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2ESA4jLy80

Chronic Behavior and Film and Fashion Futures located in Arizona supports art in whatever medium it comes in. We were made aware of this project through our photographer, Kate Doster. Kate has known Rachael Pongetti since high school and advised us of this amazing project. While, I may rely on writing to heal and process thoughts, I am aware that people use many different mediums to heal, to grow, to express. That is the legacy of the Grafitti Bridge Project and Layers of Paint. Lives are changed, hearts evolve and expand. Here at Chronic Behavior and Film and Fashion Futures, we are more than happy to share our support for this project!

An Evening at the Ball

by Toy Taylor - What's better than artistic pieces created by the young people of today? I'll tell you what's better. Artistic pieces created by young people on display at a masquerade ball. This was the first annual

You Can Be

Red Carpet

Masquerade

Ball held at

the Embassy

Suites in

Scottsdale. Everyone came decked out in their best dressed.  The

crowd looked great tonight. Ball gowns and detailed masquerade

masks were a huge hit.

The evening was packed with

varied entertainment. Hip hop

Even had a young duet cover the favorite 80's band Journey. I think we all enjoyed that a lil too much. It was a blast! I loved how all the youngsters came out to support this wonderful event.

Gianna Nicole and Monica Warhol

The host for

the evening

was the

eclectic fine

art artist

Warhol

Yes, she

hails from

the incredibly famous Warhol family.

Through many trials and tribulations,

Monica Warhol has expressed herself

through a multitude of artistic outlets.

Ms. Warhol's generosity for artistic

charitable events is astounding. She is

known to be involved with children's charitable organizations. Monica Warhol definitely has a story to tell.

The non-profit organization

YCBAAF hopes to raise

enough money to help art and

music programs remain within

the Arizona school

curriculums. Founder DeAvon Burnes looks to provide instruments, scholarships and funding for art and music programs that he found extremely needful for today's youth.

"Our goal is to motivate

students’ participation in art

programs, without allowing

their social or economic

struggles stop them in their

path to success"

Joseph James and Gianna Nicole

A big special thanks goes to Gianna Nicole Productions and Eva Louis of Chronic Behavior for pulling together a jam packed evening of entertainment. The masquerade ball helped to benefit a worthy cause for today's young kiddos.

Art and music allows emotions to be expressed through so many diverse channels. To lose this outlet in our schools would be a disservice to our future adults.

In The Studio With Suite JSG

One thing I truly love about what I do as a fashion and event blogger is meeting new people who are given the opportunity to realize their dream. I met one-half of this dynamic team about 10 years ago when he was simply showing off his sketch book of artistic visions to the patrons. I used to tell him he had quite a hidden talent that I hoped would take him far one day. Well I'm proud to say that day has come. I first recognized JR Dumarce at the Fashion For a New Life 3 event, but just couldn't place his face. Waiting for him outside the photography studio, it clicked. I just couldn't believe this young man had achieved his dream. I knew he was destined for greatness.

 I couldn't be more happier

for JR and his business

partner Sherwin Gishey for

bringing their visions to

fruition in seeing the

reality of their brand

unfold. We had a great

time catching up on old times. The photo session was a hot one. Model Trina is, well what can I say except, she knows how to do her job.

The clothing is well made and definitely

tailored to the woman's body. Playful,

sexy, avant garde stylings that make me

want each and every

piece. Let the pics tell the

story.

Here's a closer look at Suite JSG...

 1.   DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE DESIGNER?

Currently Jean Paul Gautier & his last collection, Zhandra Rhodes, Halston, Vivienne Westwood. We’re always watching Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Commes De Garcons. We are also discovering European designers through Vogue Italia and Vogue Paris, as well as fresh, new up & coming designers.

2.   DID EITHER OF YOU HAVE FASHION DREAMS OR ASPIRATIONS AS A CHILD?  IF SO, DO SHARE.

Sherwin:  My interest in fashion started with me watching my mother sew.  It was when I was 5 or 6 years old.  It’s funny; I remember standing at the edge of our kitchen table, wearing only a maroon/purple velvet shirt, underwear, and moccasins, waiting for my mom to finish up the hems of the white pant to my outfit.  It was Native American Day and I was in a float along with my head start class.  I remember, from start to finish, how she whipped up a pair of pants; that was when and where I fell in love with sewing.  From there, I started with small projects like pillow and making doll clothes for my sister’s dolls.  My mom walked me through the process laying out patterns and cutting fabric, eventually using her sewing machine.  After that, it became second nature.  I taught  myself how to sew, no formal training, no books.  In 2010, I joined the fashion program at Phoenix College, where I’m still learning to perfect my skills.

JR: I was 6 years old when I discovered Cosmopolitan covers. The supermodels on the covers blew me away. I recall always drawing women on any paper or flat surface I could find. I never really told anyone that I liked to draw fashion and that fashion models interested me. There was no outlet for me to express this creativity so I kept it to myself. I didn’t have access to fashion, lights & models but I was so intrigued (lol). My first job was at a professional art store in downtown Flagstaff when I was 9 years old. The owner noticed I was there almost every day trying out various new pens & markers. She gave me the task of sweeping out the front outside door entrance & my payment was a miniature Prism pencil and paper set. I grew up in the 80’s so MTV, art, people and life inspired me. I was fascinated by the model Margeaux Hemingway. She was beautiful, exciting and always laughing and dancing. Her life seemed to be a 24 hour disco, which totally fascinated me & influenced my art.

3.   WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE DREAM FOR SUITE JSG?

Of course, to keep making quality garments.  Along with that, swimwear/pool loungewear, there is also a fragrance test in the works.  The ultimate dreams are to be a high end label, a Suite JSG boutique or two with an in-house design studio, to possibly attract investors & to possibly go global.

4.  WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU WANT TO CONVEY WITH YOUR CLOTHING LINE?

Modern sophistication, subtle sex appeal, fashion forward confidence.
,

5.   WHAT, IF ANY, EXPERIENCES IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY DO EITHER OF YOU HAVE?

Sherwin: I’m currently in the fashion design program at Phoenix College but no professional experience yet.

JR: No, this is my first venture into the scene; my passion has always been art, models & fashion.

6.   WHAT MATTERS TO YOU MOST AS A DESIGNER?

Individuality, quality well-made clothes, client business & satisfaction.

7.   AS A CURVY GIRL MYSELF, WILL YOU OFFER YOUR CLOTHING LINE IN PLUS SIZE FASHIONS?

Yes, we offer private consultations & fittings. It is our philosophy that every woman is beautiful and that fashion should be accessible to her. One of our clients is a fuller woman who we’ve designed custom patterns that compliment her body frame.

8.   WHO IS SUITE JSG?

Two artists who have forged a fashion collaboration based on skill, talent, style & art. ‘J’ for JR and ‘SG’ for Sherwin Gishey.  Suite meaning “We’re offering women the ‘key’ to a ‘Suite of modern, fashion forward clothes.”

9.   WITH NEW FASHIONS TRENDING AT EVERY TURN, HOW WILL SUITE JSG MAKE A STANDOUT FROM OTHER BRANDS?

By keeping up with new trends through social media, fashion blogs, films, fashion books, magazines & even street style. We also watch films from the 60’s & 70’s for ideas and inspiration.

10. IF SOMEONE WANTED TO PURCHASE SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM YOU, WHERE CAN THEY FIND YOU?

Our contact information is on Facebook as (Suite JSG); Instagram (suitejsg76); and Gmail at (suitejsg@gmail.com).

11. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE SO FAR?

      1) Being male designers we sometimes are underestimated about understanding a woman’s body & style choices.

      2) Getting people to understand our style aesthetic. Alongside classic looks, we also offer different, almost avant garde pieces (for example: one sleeve tops, one legged trousers & the use of unique textiles.)

What can I say, I love these guys. The passion that courses through their veins when it comes to fashion is unreal. I hope all our readers will check out Suite JSG on Facebook and give them a shout out. I truly expect to see more from JR and Sherwin in the near, very near, future. Please feel free to posts some comments below and let us know what you think. Another big hand clap to Suite JSG for blessing us with new, haute, fashion-forward couture. Well done, fellas!

Kendra Scott Gives Back to Ryan House

Cindy Mero of Ryan House

What are two of my most favorite things to do…jewelry and shopping! So you know I was super excited to go to the Kendra Scott charity event raising money for Ryan House located in Central Phoenix.

Kendra Scott, located in the Scottsdale Quarter, is fun and uniquely designed jewelry. I love big chunky jewels that bling. This no-frills let’s-get-down-to-business kind of
jewelry store provides women (and those gift-buying husbands) affordable upscale jewelry. What ever the occasion may be, Kendra Scott will have a bauble or two to compliment your special look.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful when it came to choosing that right piece. I love their motto of try it on! We all felt quite girly trying on rings and necklaces and such. I already saw the cuff I’m going back to snag. They have a customized Color Bar

where you can pick the perfect color to go with whichever piece of jewelry you choose. I’ve never seen anything like it. You just tap away on the biggest flat
Color Bar TV

screen ever and design your own unique style. I had a blast! This concept is perfect for a bride and her special day. Having all of her bridal party matching with their customized Kendra Scott design would make any ensemble beautiful. Kendra Scott, based in Austin TX has over 15 locations throughout the Southwest and continues to grow.

I spoke with Event Coordinator Alissa Dunn who shared the passion Kendra Scott has for giving back to the community. Organizations supporting women and

children are the core values that drive Kendra Scott to be a very philanthropic company. A Kendra Scott charity event gives back 20% of its proceeds. That's awesome for Ryan House

Director of Special Events and Marketing for Ryan House Cindy Mero chose to work with the retailer because of their giving nature. It's her passion for helping others in the community that draws non-profits to Kendra Scott.

I had the absolute pleasure in speaking with Ryan's mother,Holly Cottor. What a wonderful woman with a
Grand Canyon-sized heart.

In 2001, Ryan was formally diagnosed at 9 months with a degenerative neurological disorder. At the time, the Cottor family was living in London where they struggled to find appropriate care for their son.

Holly Cottor
Around 16 months old, they found Helen House where Ryan and his family, including his brother, received family-focused respite care and support. Helen House was the first palliative care facility focused on caring for children with life-altering diagnosis. Once able to return to the States, Holly and Jonathan Cottor became committed to providing the same level of care and concern for Arizona families in need.

The non-profit organization Ryan House was established in 2004. They also have partnered with Hospice of the Valley to increase the level of crucial support for all families. Ryan House strives to "provide respite and palliative care to children with life-threatening conditions and , as needed, end-of-life care". Holly Cottor takes the approach in palliative care as a "lifeline of hope". The team of professionals at Ryan House are always set in place to administer emotional, social, respite, and palliative care for their families.

What a fun event for an even better cause. Please take a minute to check out the Ryan House website. Any help can and will make a difference.
